Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Property Care Director
Status: Full-Time or Part-Time Hourly with Benefits
Price Range: $20/hr-$35/hr

We are currently looking for maintenance technicians/handy people for our portfolio of residential and commercial properties. That ranges from single-family homes to multi-unit apartment buildings and commercial spaces.
As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform several maintenance duties that include light plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, fixture installations, and more. This job requires safe work practices, troubleshooting, problem-solving, attention to detail, excellent customer service, and time management. You will also work cross-functionally with the rest of the Advent team — helping provide quality experiences for our clients, customers, and prospects.
Minimum qualifications and requirements:
- The ability to perform and have knowledge of the following: carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, painting, drywall, plaster fire protection;;
- The ability to recognize safety hazards and take precautionary measures to protect self and others;
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills;
- Own a set of essential hand and power tools;
- Basic computer skills;
- Good verbal and written communication skills;
- Strong customer service orientation
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record;
- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations (will train);
- Ability to work as needed for emergencies (which may include nights and weekends);
Preferred competencies:
- Bilingual (English and Spanish)
- Good sense of humor.
