The owner was having trouble with rental laws and found she was always in a state of unease and anxiety. On top of her day-to-day with jobs and family, she had to manage a multi unit building in Berkeley, which is oftentime a full-time job in itself.

Our first move was to quickly get a full understanding of the situation with Rent Board, Owner and tenants. There had been ongoing discussions regarding tenant and landlord rights that we were able to resolve. We did this by being decisive and held open communication with everyone. On top of that, we educated Laura about Berkeley’s laws and provided some peace of mind.

After being hired to take on her property, we were able to straighten out differences with Berkeley Rent Board, the owner and tenants.
